LOST

Here at the Larson house something was lost on October 21st. We have been anxiously awaiting this loss though. Saige was out playing with her friends and then she came running in yelling "Mom, Mom!!! I have a loose tooth!" I was totally shocked and expected just a little bit loose, but nope it was ready to come out.

This is the last posed picture before it came out.

Do you see how wiggly it is? That is if you can see through the fogged up lens.

Here Saige is wiggling the tooth. She kept going back and forth between wanting it out and not. But when I was pulling on it she didn't even scream. I was not sure if I was hurting her or not. Then I remembered this is the girl the nearly two years ago didn't complain about her appendix until it had burst. Needless to say, she handles pain a little too well.

Out at last. Saige was all ready with toilet paper to stop the bleeding. She had a friend who just got a tooth pulled at the dentist and was told that it bleeds a lot. Because of that Saige was also concerned that the tooth was going to look like a "vampire" tooth (that is what she called her friend's tooth that got pulled).

Here's proof that at least my girl is not a vampire.
The funny bit is that the tooth fairy was really good at remembering to stop at our house, but he forgot to take the tooth. We are thinking that since Saige was laying on the tooth, he could not get to it. So not only did Saige get a dollar from the tooth fairy, but he came back the next night and left her a quarter. We are thinking it must be some kind of "forgetful fee" or something.

What an awesome tooth fairy! Lex has a loose one, so hopefully the tooth fairy will be as generous to her!
