Enough to get your heart going

I still have pictures I need to put on here, but this I wanted to get out ASAP. Yesterday was a bit scary. So here is the gist of what happened.
Blake was going down into our "cellar" to get some more vitamin C. He knew he had Summit with him and so he was watching him as he opened the door. What he didn't know is that Sedona snuck around the corner. I was in bed not feeling to well. But when I heard Blake yell my name, just the way he said it I knew it was not good. I totally jumped out of bed and was more alert than I had been all day. To see Sedona on the ground was enough to stop my heart. I called 911 and they asked if I wanted an ambulance to come check her out. My thoughts were, "why did I call you, if I don't want someone to check her out?" So the ambulance came and the moment they saw the cellar and the fall they started holding her head and neck still. So they loaded her into the ambulance and we went to the Show Low hospital. When we were 10 minutes out they called the hospital and the doctor there told them to fly her out. I thought, you have got to be kidding me. They had not even looked at her. So I talked to the EMT who said she didn't think Sedona needed to be flown out, but that she doesn't have a say in it. I then asked if I had a say on whether or not she flies. She told me I had the right to make whatever call I thought was right, but that she had only seen one person ever reject a flight. So when we got to the hospital I went in and talked to the doctor. I told her I didn't think Sedona needed to be flown out. She said, "A child with a fall like that and she is acting calm. That is not a good sign." I said, "But that is normal." She said, "As long as you know kids die from things like this all the time. You do have the right to reject anything." So I told her I reject the flight. As I walked away she said, "Okay, but this is not a good idea." Honestly, every time I prayed (cause lets be real, I prayed like a million times) I kept getting the feeling that she was fine. So they brought her in and hooked her up to all kinds of machines. Then they unhooked her and we went to get the CT Scan. Then we came back and waited for the results.

Sedona hated the oxygen, so I just took it out. She was at like 97% saturation just on room air, so I figured it was not a big deal. So after a while of just waiting, a lady came in and started taking Sedona off the board. I said, "So when do we get the results of the CT Scan?" She said, "Did you already get one?" I said, "Yes, we are just waiting for the results." She said, "Well then they must have come back just fine cause I was told her take her off the board and get her into a gown." She said the doctor just wanted to check her out real good and make sure she was okay. So we waited some more.

The doctor and her student came in, they checked her out. They told us how lucky we are (like we didn't already know), and then sent us home. We were able to make it home even before the older kids got home from school. Summit got to go play with his friend down the street, which totally made him happy. Thanks to Cassie, for taking him and giving us one less thing to worry about.
I know that Sedona was watched over. I am pretty sure angels swooped in and helped her to land softer than she probably should have. I know the Lord answers prayers, even mine.

That is amazing that she is okay. And good call on your part for sticking to what you thought was right for your child. Too often Dr.'s try to push things and make you feel guilty if you don't do what they are suggesting but Mother's instinct wins over! I'm just so glad she's okay.
Love you guys!

She just had two spots on her head that she bonked. But they seriously should have been worse than they were. They were not even close to as big as Savannah's bump was. And they had totally went down before we left the hospital.
They wanted to fly her out to a trauma center, which would have been either down in Phoenix or Flagstaff. Basically that is the medical crew on the helicopter that would have decided that.
