Sedona crawled onto my lap while I was at the computer and promptly fell asleep. Isn't she so sweet!!!
At the same time, Summit went upstairs and curled himself into a massive blanket (despite the fact it was already toasty up there) and went right to sleep.
Sierra has a friend who has been helping her to draw people better. I would say she is doing a great job.
Funny story about these next few photos.
We got these bags from the grocery store lady, who saw these adorable kids and just knew they needed them. When we got home we were unloading the groceries (okay, for real I was unloading the groceries) and Summit had his bag and said, "Mom, I am going to go catch the wind!" For those of you who don't know, the wind in the springtime here gets a little crazy.
So him and Sedona went out and caught the wind in their bags. Then they ran inside and opened the bag to let the wind in the house, and then ran back out to catch some more.
The funniest time was when Summit must have squeezed the bag a bit when he opened it and exclaimed, "Mom! I really did catch the wind!" He must have felt the air blow out at him. HA! Too cute!!!
Savannah did her country report on Wednesday. She chose to do it on Holland. I brought in some store-bought cheese, you know the kind already cubed. Some of the kids asked if we made the cheese ourselves. Guess they don't know me all that well.
On Friday, Blake & Summit went on Fathers & Sons with Blake's brothers and Dad. They had a great time! Among other things Summit had his first fishing experience. Now to fully appreciate this story you have to know that Summit has been BEGGING to go fishing since Christmas when we got fish cleaning gloves from Blake's parents (or was that two years ago?). Anyway, so they got to go fishing.
Blake just told me a funny story about a "death chant" Summit did once the fish were caught and in the bag to take back to camp. Something like "Die fish, Die!!!"
When they got these all the way home, Summit told me "Mom, I know what kind of fish those are." I said, "Oh, really!?!?! What kind are they?" He very confidently told me, "They are beauty fish!!!!" Now I don't know much about fish, but I am pretty sure there is no such thing as a beauty fish. Blake later told me that they are Rainbow Trout. Then I realized I bet someone told him the fish was a beauty! Blake told me that when Summit caught them Uncle Kjell said something like, "Oh, that fish is a beauty!!!" Ha! Too funny how kid's minds work!
While the boys were out camping and having fun, the girls and I had a party Friday night, with popcorn and ice cream and a movie.
On Saturday, I decided it was time for a clean house. With all the cleaning we did I have two questions:
One: Why can't kids hang up their coats/jackets and put away the stuff that comes out of their backpacks (like three day old sandwiches)?
Two: How do things get behind the piano? I mean nothing is supposed to be on the piano to begin with, and yet there are things behind it???
