I bet you all thought that we had fallen off the face of the earth. Well......that is only slightly true. Life has changed, but we are adjusting and moving on. So, I figured it was time to bring this blog BACK TO LIFE!!! Things have changed here on Blogger since I last posted....so it is gonna take me some time to figure it all out. Besides that, I make no promises in keeping this up to date or even making regular posts. I am just saying, I feel like I am finally settling into this new life. As a test on how to post pictures......here are pictures of my children's dance recital we had in May of this year.
Sierra's Tumbling
Savannah's Beginning Pointe
Savannah's Solo
Saige's Cheer
Savannah's Hand Dance
Savannah's Cheer
Saige's Tumbling
Savannah's Tap
Summit's Tumbling
Sedona's Cheer
Savannah's Hip Hop
Savannah's Ballroom
Sierra's Hip Hop
Savannah's Duet w/Mariah
Savannah was able to get a scholarship from the dance studio because of her hard work and dedication. That is why she is in so many classes. All the children enjoyed dance this last semester. I have loved working for the studio. The amazing backdrop was designed by a dear friend of mine (Sandy) and we all "slaved" away at getting it put together. Those windows on the buildings......they are foil and they are 1 1/2" x 1".......just in case you were wondering.

Swimming and other stuff
Okay! So for starters on June 13th Sierra finished her rag quilt that she has been working on. Since Savannah finished hers Sierra has wanted to make her own. Grandma found this perfect material that just perfectly fits Sierra. Honestly, the whole thing took her about two days. She did such a great job and it looks beautiful on her bed.

The next big event we had was Father's Day. It was great to have Blake actually here to celebrate with us.

Blake got a racquetball racket and was very excited about it. But really what use is one racket????

That is exactly what I thought when I bought the second one. So really this gift is for me to use, but I could not open it since it was Blake's day. Nothing like getting a gift when it is not even really your day!!!

This gift was from Summit! He loves watching people open his gifts.

This gift unwrapping was hilarious cause Sedona screamed out what it was before Blake had it open cause she was so excited!!! Which got screams from all the other kids and a huge laugh from Blake. By the way, it was an ice cream maker!!!!!!

These are pictures of our Swim-A-Thon! Blake is really enjoying coaching swimming, and the girls are loving having him their. We have 39 kids on our swim team and they are all doing extremely well.
Blake told the swim kids that if any of them swam 200 laps in the two hours, that he would take them to ride go-carts! Apparently that was only enough incentive for our girls. So Blake got to take our three oldest.

They had so much fun together! They were only supposed to ride for about 8 minutes, but since there was no one in line they got to ride for about 20 minutes. They came home raving about how great it was and how we need to go as a family.
These next pictures are of the fun meet we had last Saturday. All the kids and adults got to participate. And the winning teams got prizes.

When Sedona first got into the water by herself she was CLINGING to the side and would never let go.

Then she just barely let go.

And within about two minutes she was completely away from the wall and loving the freedom.

After that we went on a shopping trip.

Summit loved the headphones at Best Buy and was literally dancing in the isle.

Then we went to Sam's Club and spent way too much time and about went crazy. Memo to me: Do not EVER EVER EVER take five kids to Sam's Club on a Saturday, especially when you have a lot of stuff to buy.

After that we were all starving and so we went to one of our favorite restaurants.

Afterwards, Summit must have broken some kind of world record because after stuffing himself with everyones leftover food and announcing to us all that he was stuffed, we got into the van to and within 30 seconds he asks, "Mom, can I have something to eat?" WHAT!?!?!?!? I am convinced there is some kind of stomach emptying chemical emitted from our air conditioning.

I have a good reason!
No, I really really do! I was in Utah on the 29th of May and then last Sunday we went over to a friend's house for dinner, so I just didn't. Okay, maybe that last one was not a very good reason, but the first one was okay. Alright, you got me! It is just simply an excuse. I guess we all really do have them and they all stink.
Anyway, here is what we have been up to.
Saige had her Second Grade track meet. She was so worried that I was going to forget to come, but Blake & I both made it! She was so nervous to run cause she really wanted to get first place, but didn't know if she would make it.

The Second Graders are only allowed to run 100m cause they don't want anyone to over do it! I really have not figured this one out cause if anyone can run a long time I would think the little kids could. Here is Saige in one of the three preliminary races.

This was the finals race! It was so close that they studied the photo finish for about five minutes.

In the end they decided that Saige won FIRST PLACE!!!!

She was extremely excited!!!!!
The next day I had volunteered to help in Sierra's class. We played a bunch of games like on Minute to Win It!

Here is Sierra trying move an Oreo Cakester from her forehead into her mouth. It was a crack-up to watch!!
That night we had a BBQ out at Blake's work.

For those of you searching this picture for all five of my kids, I will make it a bit easier. Savannah did not come with us. She got to go to dinner with her teacher, his family, two other kids from her class and their parents. Each of the students got over 500 AR points. The two kids from her class were one of her good friends and a boy she likes (shhhh! don't tell anyone).
Thursday the 26th was the last day of school! So amongst all the partying there was also an awards ceremony.

And following suite Savannah & Sierra got great grades and got awards. Savannah even got a certificate signed by the President cause of her great grades (I would care more if it was someone I liked, but just does not hold quite as much coolness since I don't care for him).
And bright and early Friday morning we waved goodbye to Blake and the kids and I left for Utah to see the family. I really hate leaving him behind, knowing that we are going to go have a great time and he is stuck working. But we had to go otherwise we may not have seen that part of the family at all this Summer.
Friday night was GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!!! And could not have come any sooner. I was so tired of being in the car with the kids. And the drive is soooo long!

We went to Harley Davidson. It was delicious, but the company was even better. My mom, three sisters and three sisters-in-law all went! These ladies are simply amazing! They each have helped me in ways they don't even know. They are such rocks!

And if you think we paid full-price for our meal, think again. We had my oldest sister, Rebecca, with us (she is the red-head) and she scored some kind of smoking deal where we got a $12 coupon for $5. She is the master of deals. One day I hope to be as good as her.

Saturday morning I went on one of my all time favorite walks with my Dad. It is just so beautiful and it was great talking with my dad. He is the kind of person who helps me keep things in perspective.

That night we celebrated my brother, Cameron's, two-year anniversary of his motorcycle accident. Just a reminder that the Lord loves us and that we are so blessed to still have him with us. He must have a great work yet to do.
Sunday, after church, Sedona decided to get herself all pretty!

How do you think she did?
That night we had everyone over and made pizza!

I love getting together with my family. I love watching how each of the kids interact with each other, and I love how I don't have to worry too much what my kids are up to cause they have someone to play with.
Monday morning we woke up to this!

I went walking anyway cause it was so beautiful and it was not as cold as it looks!!!!!!!

This is a picture of the place I used to hike up to when I was in High School. This was my most favorite place in the world, cause it is so quiet and peaceful and you could see the whole valley.
That night we went to Thanksgiving Point for their Memorial Day Party! They had all kinds of games to play.

I don't have any pictures of this, but on Tuesday I went to lunch with two of my best friends from High School, Lori and Alicia. I wish I would have taken out my camera and thought to take some pictures. Those two ladies are wonderful and I am so thankful that that Lord has blessed me with such amazing friends.
That night we went swimming with Rebecca, Robert, Zach, Bryan, Trish, Lex, Garrett & Bennett. Summit even got to go on the slide even though he is not six, thanks to Rebecca. We all had a blast!!

Afterwards we went to Iceberg for dinner, which is always yummy!
Wednesday was a photo opt at the park (look familiar?)

Then we met Trish, Lex, Garrett, Bennett & Zach at the movie theater so watch Hop! It was a cute movie except for the scene about where EB first goes to stay the night. So we won't be buying it. On top of that this picture was taken about 10 seconds before Trish picked up Garrett who then barfed big time all over Trish, the movie seats, the floor and in Trish's purse. Poor kid!!! Poor Trish!!! Poor movie theater workers who had to clean it up!!!
And on Thursday we drove home just in time for card exchange with my awesome friends here at home. Again, a much needed ladies night after a 10 hour car ride.
This last week we got 15 tons of rock dumped in our front yard!

In the background you can see our finished fence (see Robert, you now no longer have to use your imagination).
And yesterday was our first swim meet of the year.

This is our first year of coaching the team. We have 37 kids on the team and 10 of them were able to make it to this meet. It was so much fun seeing their faces light up when they found out they got a better time. They all did so wonderful!!!!
That is our last three weeks in a nutshell!
