HAPPY DAY!!!!!

Today is a very special day for three reasons. The first is that it is Independence Day. A day to celebrate all the freedoms and blessing the Lord has bestowed upon America.


I want to thank all those men and women you have died for our freedom. Those you have sacrificed so I can have a BBQ with my family and friends without fear.


I thank those brave men of old, who stood up for what they knew was right. Who did not back down. Who stood strong and persevered.


And also to all those you have served in the Armed forces, and those who serve now. For all that they are willing to give. Let us not fool ourselves into thinking that America is great simply because of the great men of old. America is what it is because the Lord blessed it.




The second reason that today is such a fabulous day, is because it is Blake's birthday!!! YAHOO!!!!!

So on this, Blake's special day, I would like to give you all a glimpse of the great man that he is.


Carving pumpkins every year. Having so much fun with the "guts".




Camping, hiking and all kinds of family outings.


He loves to teach the kids how to ride their bikes. To feel that freedom. His favorite saying is "look out, not right in front of you."


He is also an amazing example and a great teacher.


He loves to play with the kids. Softball, basketball, soccer, swimming (in this family that is mostly done as a sport). They you have all the board games and card games.






The countless hours of school functions such as field trips, programs, award ceremonies.....he loves going to these and participating in the achievements of his kids


Besides, there are not a whole lot of dads that can get their kids a seat like this.

Blake is such an amazing husband and father. He has incredible drive and ambition. He is an incredible provider. He has such a love for his family. While there are a lot of pilots who end up staying away from their family, Blake has made it a priority to come home every night so be with us. Blake is also a very hard worker, and loves to work until the job is done. I am so thankful to be Blake's wife. He makes me feel so safe, secure and loved. He always lets me know how much I mean to him and how much he loves me. He is always striving to find ways to make my life easier.

So Blake we hope you have an incredible birthday. YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO ME!!!!!



Last, but not least is that it is my parents 35th wedding anniversary. Thank you guys for all you have done for me, and all you continue to do. Thank you for bringing so many of God's children to this earth (for those who may not know, or remember, they have 11 children). Thank you for raising me in the gospel. Thank you for teaching me right and wrong. Thank you for leading me. Thank you for being my parents. You guys are AMAZING!!!!!!!
