Good-Bye Van

So I have been feeling a little guilty about posting anything new because I kind of like seeing my Grandma & Grandpa on the first page. So I decided that whatever took it's place would have to be important. This I decided I had to share because I think people who know would get mad at me if I didn't. That being said here we go.
Okay, so on Saturday afternoon as I was on my way home from a Christmas shopping trip to Wal-Mart with my 5 wonderful kids. I was really trying to get home quickly because it was way past nap time and Summit was making sure I knew that. I took my eyes off the road for a second or two and then out of no where I realized that I was coming up fast on the car in front of me. I slammed on my brakes but it was too late......WHAM!!!!!



BANG!!!!!!!!!



I smashed right into that car, which happened to be a black Toyota 4Runner. The airbags deployed and there was smoke coming from them. My kids all started screaming (except for Sedona) and was trying to figure out what and how that just happened. The driver of the other vehicle got out of his car and came right towards me. Because we are going to keep things "G" rated here (actually we will have to do better than that, because they allow some words that I will not put here into a "G" film) I will just tell you that he was yelling at me and was not happy at all. I looked at him and said "Do you think I meant to do that?" After a little more ranting and raving he calmed down and apologized for all he had said. In the end everyone was okay. We were all very shaken by the whole thing but no one had to be taken to the hospital and no one was really even sore at all even after a few days. I did not even hit the airbag so there were no burns on me from that. My van looks really bad, but it did it's job. We were not going that fast, but too fast for stopping. The insurance totaled the van and we have the check in the bank already. So this weekend we are going out to find a new van (yes we are thinking we are going to stick with the van, they get better gas mileage), all while the three oldest are at a swim meet. Who thinks we can get it all done??? YIKES!!!
